Hi-Point students advance to regional competition

BELLEFONTAINE- Students from Ohio Hi-Point’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization learned who would be advancing to regional competition after hearing the results of the BPA Local Awards at OHP last week.

The following Information Technology, Business Administration Technology and Administrative Office Specialist students placed at the local competition and the regional qualifiers will participate in regional competition Tues. January 24, 2012 at Hi-Point.

Economic Research Team – One team will advance to regionals.

·      1st place: Brad Gibson, ITC II, Home-schooled
Deanna Shaw, ITC II, Ben Logan
Paul Dague, ITC II, Marysville
Drew Cook, ITC II, Marysville

Administrative Support Individual   – One individual will advance to regionals.

·      1st place: Josh Wortman, AOS, Marysville

Computer Animation Team   – Two teams will advance to regional.

·      1st Place – Erik Mundy, ITC I, Bellefontaine
Samantha Turner, ITC I, Ben Logan
Devin Butler, ITC I, Ben Logan
Shane Brown, ITC I, Riverside

·      2nd Place – Andrew Funderburgh, ITC I, Bellefontaine
Cody Jessee, ITC I, Triad
Randy Drumm, ITC I, Ridgemont
Jesse Phelps, ITC I, Urbana

·      3rd Place – Charlie Carpenter, ITC I, Indian Lake
Stephanie Jordan, ITC I, Marysville
Damon Devine, ITC I, Indian Lake
Jayce Warner, ITC I, Bellefontaine
