Last evening, Julia Kim was declared the winner of the Fairborn District Spelling Bee. The bee was held at Fairborn Intermediate School, with contestants from Fairborn Intermediate, Baker Middle School, and Bethlehem Lutheran School.
Julia Kim, a 7th grader at Bethlehem Lutheran School, is the daughter of Gene and Nancy Kim of Beavercreek. Julia now advances to the Dayton Daily News Regional Spelling Bee, to be held February 25th at Sinclair Community College. The winner of that bee will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC.
