Fairborn, Ohio – The third quarterly Citizen Information Meeting will feature a luncheon provided by the Community Action Partnership, CAP, on Friday, September 17 at the Fairborn Senior Citizens Center, 325 N. Third Street. The luncheon is free, however registration is required and must be done by September 15 through the Fairborn Senior Citizen Center, 878-4141, so the appropriate number of lunches can be ordered. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the program starting at 1:00 p.m.
Topics to be discussed include Emergency Medical Services presented by Fairborn firefighter and paramedic Josh Lawrence and the latest drug usage trends and overall community impact presented by Ace Drug Task Force Director Bruce May. Each presentation will allow for a question and answer session.
City of Fairborn Mayor Joan Dautel had promised residents during her campaign in 2009 that there would be transparency and improved communication with the public. Quarterly Citizen Information Meetings help to inform citizens of various topics and allow for questions in a relaxed atmosphere.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required for the luncheon only so residents coming for the meeting only need not register. Citizens will also be able to suggest potential future topics by submitting them in writing to the Mayor at the meeting.
