Wright State's Hayden Joblin of the men's tennis team has been selected as the Horizon League's first Player of the Week this season, it was announced Tuesday by the league office.
Joblin (Brooklyn, New Zealand) posted two wins in #2 singles as the Raiders won a pair of road matches last weekend, defeating St. Louis 6-1 on Friday, January 20, and SIU Edwardsville 5-2 on Saturday, January 21. He won 7-6, 6-4 against St. Louis before notching a 6-2, 6-4 decision versus SIU Edwardsville.
Joblin also teamed with Jamison Clark for an 8-6 over SIU Edwardsville in #1 doubles.
The sophomore is currently 4-0 in the #2 singles for the year, which leads all Horizon League men's tennis players in wins.
Wright State (3-2) is now off until hosting Vincennes (2:30) and Northwestern Ohio (7:00) on Saturday, February 11 at the South Regency Tennis Center.
