SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1801 St. Paris Pike, is offering new adult Sunday School classes and Adult Discipleship Pathway courses.
The adult Sunday School classes will be offered on Sunday mornings, 9:15-10:15, beginning Jan. 8, complete with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and free childcare.
Dr. Eugene Swanger, former Wittenberg University religion professor, will lead a single-session class, Using Bible Commentaries, on Sunday, Jan. 8, at 9:15 a.m. in the Grace fellowship hall. This session will focus on the use and usefulness of Bible commentaries.
On Jan. 15, the Rev. Tom Brodbeck will teach a six-session course, Share Jesus without Fear, at 9:15 a.m. in the Grace fellowship hall. This course will offer a non-threatening, non-intimidating way for participants to share the truth of the Gospel with their friends and family. The course will conclude on Feb. 19.
Grace also is offering Adult Discipleship Pathway courses on Wednesday evenings, 7-8 p.m., beginning Jan. 4. Pastor DeBord will teach Forgiving and Forgetting, a six-session “Believe” course designed to explore Scripture and psychology for what they teach about forgiving and reconciling with “those who trespass against us.” The course will meet Jan. 4-Feb. 12.
Beginning Jan. 11, the Rev. Tom Brodbeck will teach Small Group Discipling Strategies, a practical five-session “Become” course, designed for those who would enjoy being part of a faith-nurturing-small group ministry. The course will meet 7-8 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 11-Feb. 12.
