The Fairborn Paper

A Christian is not perfect…just forgiven!  We’ve seen that bumper sticker for years now and never give it a second thought.  Some wrongfully assume that Christians either walk in $2000 suits or drive cars held together by bumper stickers!  Christians are just like you except…we have a more sure hope which is factually founded in Jesus (Yahushua) Christ (HaMashiak)!  His living makes our living better.

Christians like the nice things in life and many possess a great deal of them!  The key is to not allow the things in life to possess you.  Keeping the Lord and the kingdom of God as our first priority causes true prosperity.  Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

We have grief and are sometimes surrounded and gripped by fear; but our faith in Christ provides the strength to continue and overcome our adversities with peace, hope, and love.  Besides, fear does not belong to the Christian!  2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

When Peter was worried about taxes, Jesus told him to go fishing!  Our sustenance has already been afforded to us just as water was prepared before fish were created!  God knows how to take care of His own!   Psalms 37:25 “I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

Even in the Lions den, Daniel pillowed his head and went to sleep!  Divine protection is part of our Covenant!  The New Covenant through Jesus provides for protection, provision, and companionship!

As we enter into a new year keep focus on the good things God has done with an expectation that He will do it again!  Don’t look at the waves…focus on the prize!
